Ways to use your coast leash

Hands-Free SLing

Whether you are at the local farmer’s market, drinking your coffee, or just want to keep your hands warm on a stroll, we have you covered.

To create a hands-free sling, connect the handle side of your leash to your pup, then either wrap the leash around your body, and connect the non-handle side of the leash to the middle o-ring. Or connect the handle side of the leash to your pup. Then snap the non-handle side to the middle o-ring, and place the loop over your shoulder.

WARNING: If your dog is not trained to walk on a leash, or uncontrollable when walking, it is not recommended to use the leash as a hands-free sling.

Safely Tether Your Pup

You can easily secure your dog when at your favorite outdoor restaurant, or local shop, by snapping the handle side of the leash to your dog. Then place the non-handle side of the leash around a secure object, and connect to the middle o-ring.

WARNING: It is not recommended to leave your dog unattended at any time.

Traditional Leash 4' - 8' and anywhere in between

8' Leash: Sometimes you just want to give your pup some room to wander.  Whether on a hike or at the park, you can easily do so by holding the handle side of the leash in your hand, and connect the non-handle side of the leash to your dog's collar or harness.

4' Leash: Based on your walking style, your dog’s age, or if you just like to keep your pup close by, you are now able to have him or her right by your side. To make your line a 4’ leash, connect the handle side of the leash to the non-handle side’s o-ring. Then connect the non-handle side of the leash to your pup.

Anywhere In Between: Want the flexibility of using your leash anywhere from 4’ to 8’?! You can change your leash length in a moment’s notice by connecting the handle side of the leash to your pup, and then snapping the non-handle side of the leash to the middle o-ring. From there, easily move the leather slider up or down, providing you more or less leash length.

Walking Two Dogs At Once

Strutting with more than one pup has never been easier. Connect one side of the leash to one of your dogs. Then repeat, connecting the other side of your leash to your other pup. Snap your Shorti Line (sold separately) to the middle o-ring, and you are all set.

NOTE: If you have one dog that is larger than the other, or one that is a puller, connect the non-handle side of the leash to that pup. This will stop them from dominating the walk, and allow your other pooch more room to roam.

crossbody sling

Use your favorite Coast line as a crossbody sling, when at the dog park, beach or anywhere you can safely let your pup run free.

To create a sling, make two loops with your leash by snapping the non-handle side of the leash to the middle o-ring, and then connect the handle side to the remaining available o-ring. Then place loops over your shoulder.

Other Ways To Use Your Line

Go Hands-Free On A Run

Want to bring your pup along for a run? Great!… take the handle side of the leash, wrap it around your waist, and then move the leather slider close to your body. This will ensure the leash is snug to you. Then snap the non-handle side of the leash to your pup, and off you go.

Need To Grab Hold Of Your Pup Quickly

You never know when you might need to quickly grab hold of your pup, or gain their attention. With the handle side connected to your pup, simple reach down and grab the handle to easily control him or her.
