There comes a moment when success no longer feels like fulfillment.

After years in corporate America, I found myself at a crossroads. I had built a career — but I was missing the moments that mattered most. The quiet mornings. The unhurried walks. The time spent with those I love — especially my four-legged companion, Briggs.

So I chose freedom.

Coast was born from a simple but powerful belief: we are meant to be free to be — free to do what we love, with those we love.

Why Coast Exists

Like many dog owners, I searched for American-made dog products that were thoughtfully designed, responsibly crafted, and built to last. Instead, I found a marketplace filled with mass-produced pet accessories — products that lacked durability, versatility, and often the quality our dogs deserve.

I couldn’t find a made in the USA dog leash that was multifunctional, safe, and beautifully constructed. I struggled to find a handcrafted leather dog collar made from premium materials. I wanted dog gear that worked for real life — not something disposable.

So I decided to create it.

Coast was built on three uncompromising standards:

Crafted Across America

What began as paper sketches and string prototypes evolved into partnerships with some of the finest makers in the country.

We source premium rope from American manufacturers. We use Wickett & Craig saddle leather for our handcrafted collars. We collaborate with skilled artisans — including members of the Amish community — who hand sew our products with precision and care.

Every Coast piece is proudly handcrafted in the United States, supporting local communities and preserving true American craftsmanship.

The process was not easy. But what I discovered along the way was inspiring — a network of makers who still believe in quality, integrity, and creating products that stand the test of time.
